An image in a broken mirror is usually distorted, it's never perfect unless we actually try to take care of that distortion by renewing those cracks.
Life is never a smooth mirror, it is filled with cracks at different corners and edges.
We are the pieces of the broken reality, fragments of a broken society, dispersed into the society for the broken pieces of our souls to be seen by all. Some might view from a perfect angle and assume that you live in an utopia, a perfect system where all clicks, some might view you and realize that you live in the ruins of hades.
We are reflections of the side of the mirror we view from. There is actually no perfect side, not even the side without cracks. An absence of cracks doesn't make it perfect, it makes it less distorted.
We are who we are because we chose to focus or allow our reflections show from one side of the mirror.
The life on the other side of the mirror can be a story of the broken side or the less distorted side.
The truth to the distortions is that sometimes, as distorted as things might seem, the distortions give room for close up reevaluation to the things that require evaluation. Our flaws are bared for us to see and we are able to work on them.
Viewing the less distorted side of the mirror often gives us a false sense of assurance most times, we lose guard and overestimate/underestimate our true worth.
That alone puts us in a false state of assurance as earlier stated and we begin to actually perform less than we should.
