Distractions are those stuffs that stops you from doing or going on to do what needs to be done. Distractions has a way of bringing agitation into the mind if the individuals involved. You must as a matter of seriousness, tackle the major causes of distractions.
You cannot achieve good results if all you do is coated with distractions. Even the smartest minds, avoid distractions at all cost. The mind will be healthy when it is fed with healthy meals.
A fail from someone a thousand miles away means a fail for a long link of individuals who are connected.
I have listed these 4 tips and I hope you use it and add more to make sure you have a win.
Block social media.
The temptation to log onto Facebook, Instagram or Twitter is too great to avoid. There are individuals who cannot do without being on Facebook or Instagram. If your work is on these site, then by all means stay for as long as you want. But for those who are just there to socialize, block it all if you can.
Cultivate a self control mechanism that will help you block these various sites that tends to distract.
Do little of socializing when you have work to do. The usage of the various social media for socializing can be time consuming and most times, a waste.
But can you really block social media for a day?Avoid interruptions.
No matter how smart or hardworking you may be, interruptions can and will disrupt your workflow. If you're in the middle of a task try as much as you can to not STOP and so something else. Many find it difficult to get back into the work mood when they step out. If you are unsure of what it is is outside the work you have with you, try to keep on the right track.
Millions of USD going down the drains daily because someone failed to stay the track.
Log out of unnecessary browsers.
For individuals like myself who rely on their computers to get their job done, it is imperative that we still to a healthy work routine while using our system. You cannot boast of productivity when all you spend your time doing online is watch movies or play games that are not related to your job.
When you have tabs that display old projects or irrelevant internet searches, you will nor be able to adjust. Do well to place your focus on the site in question. If you place your focus on the sites that are necessary for your work, you will be able to get it done well and move past those delays.
Whenever I am on my computer, I make sure to have the pages that are relevant to the work at hand open.Switch off your phone.
Before I go on to tell you to, I have got to ask.., is it possible to have your phone switched of for some time during the day?
Well, I have to leave you to decide what will be best. if you are working and also still holding on to your phone, you may just be setting yourself up for failure. You could end up losing a productive day by reason of hanging on to your phone. You can return off the zeal to do better, but if you do not have complete control on your productivity.
Years ago while working in the Bank as a cash and teller, we weren't allowed to have our phones with us. You have to be without it during work and can access it during break time and close of day. The phone can really distract you if you fail to draw the lines between work time and phone time.
Distraction is one major cause of accidents and death. Someone driving should have no business texting and someone texting should have business driving. The same applies for work, you must not pair distraction and productivity because they cannot two opposing words.
