I thought that the Oscars evening could be a perfect occasion for me to show you something really unique, a short film I directed in London last year. It's still the movie I am most proud of, as it represents very much what I stand for in this harsh industry and it holds the reasons why I am still trying to make films in the first place.
It's the story of the 99% of people, actresses in this case, who do not make it because they don't fit the standards. Who set the standards, though?
This is the story of unlikely heroes.
They happen to be women.
They happen to be b-movie extras.
They happen to have a longing to perform in a serious work of art.
This film happens to be it.

It is an anti-Oscar film because
it's made with very little budget.
It escapes any commercial logic.
It is not controlled or influenced by financial interests.
It features the least presentable characters.
It is held together by a passionate cast & crew.
It does not aim at a wide audience.
It features only women.
It gives plenty of room for improvisation.
It does not build celebrities.
We want to establish #steemit as a place for art-house-fiction films!
