Follow your ambitions, not money
Money for sure makes the world go round but this should not be your main goal in the first place. Others can sense it if you do what you do just to earn some bucks. And that is not to blame, but passion-driven people always win more at the end.
Do what you believe is right
If you feel that your talent or your passion -you name it- can easily be developed to something bigger, do it. Not when you will be ready, not when all the odds will be in your favor, not tomorrow, NOW.
Don't ask others for their opinion
Its your life. Take the responsibility for that. Others don't have the right manual for life that you don't. Everyone thinks differently and acts differently. You cannot move forward only if someone else allows you to.
Enjoy what you do
After all we live only once. We won't have a second chance. It's really a shame if we spend our lives just chasing our tails. When you don't enjoy what you do, you end up feeling miserable in general. Do what you love and love what you do.
