This shot was taken while wandering the backstreets of Sintra, Portugal after touring Pena Palace. This was one of our “free days” during SteemFest 2 where you were encouraged to roam about and take side trips away from Lisbon.
We had just filled our stomachs with fresh caught mussels and vina verde...all for not much more than the cost of a fast food lunch in America.
We only spent a day here in Sintra but this is one place I’d like to return to, stay longer, and really get to know the soul of.
There’s much more to SteemFest than talks and hackathons (although these are great), you really have the chance to experience the local culture and make memories that will last a lifetime.
