Hi guys ๐
I haven't been posting many proper posts lately as I've been working on my college assignments which I still have more of to do however the more difficult ones are done! So there have been a lot of quick posts on what I was doing throughout the week.
Today I will share some of my favorites from one of my first proper modelling shoots that I've done. The photographer that I worked with is absolutely amazing and has a lot of published work. Her name is Patricia Willocq and she has worked with many humanitarian projects.
Patricia is one of the sweetest people that I have met and she has a beautiful and warm heart. Her work has a soft touch and she has many photography awards globally.
This woman is talented and I've always looked up to her.
We decided to shoot on a cold January morning
It was absolutely freezing in Dublin and we did the shoot on the Bull Island which
You can read more about the location here.
There were a couple of outfit changes
I had some dresses and accessories that I changed during the shoot as you can guess it was all outside ! Patricia had a blanket with her which she held down to help me hide and change. We had a lot of fun and chatted about many things. It didn't seem like I was working at all.
I asked Patricia why she chose me for this shoot
I was fascinated with her work and for a photographer with that status it was an honor to work with her when I was merely a beginner. She said that she liked my white skin and wanted to portray the Irish women's beauty (although she knew I wasn't Irish). She has worked however with other Irish models for her project as well.
We played around with a few props
I brought my guitar along with me which I actually got to play. Patricia wanted the photos as natural as possible and she also was doing a video which made sense for me to actually play the guitar. I was trying to sing and get an atmosphere going however it was very windy and hard to hear.
There is a funny side to the shoot as well...
I was absolutely freezing and sat down on the grass to warm up. Patricia brought a blanket along to me and as she had the camera around her neck she ended up hitting off my face. We both laughed however as we left the video to the end, my small scar was easily noticeable!
I brought along a fantasy like outfit
I had a mask which I really wanted to use for a shoot. To go along with the mask I paired it with some Greek looking sandals and a gold and white dress which looks really nice in the wind. It was hard for Patricia to work with the mask as there was a lot of shadow and sometimes it wouldn't sit properly on my face.
We got some food
And had a walk in the city center where we took some more photos in the St. Stephens Green park. It was a cold and breezy day however she made the images look warm and beautiful.
I have mentioned there is a video as well
It's unfinished and you can see throughout some shots where I have a small mark on my face which is why we didn't do too many takes. It was more like a quick sample and a promotional video for my modelling career.
This was one of the most inspiring and enlightened shoots I've ever done
To this day I am very proud to have worked with Patricia and I have always wanted to become a photographer like her.She is a kind and beautiful woman which has the biggest heart I've ever seen.
I hope you guys enjoyed this post and thank you so much for the support you've been giving me ๐ Hope you all have a lovely weekend!
