Hey everyone, for those who don't know me, I'm Luis Rosales (a controversial YouTuber, Gamer and Pianist)...
Like many users here on Steemit, I'm trying to fulfill my passion but worldly struggles get in the way... Like bills, and maintenance. Life is hard out there for struggling musicians, and now that YouTube competition continues to grow, it seems like there will be no end to it. Getting my voice, my art, and my influence out there is becoming more and more challenging, and as for making a living doing what I love... I'll be lucky to get semi-rich using the traditional method of marketing and funding.
To put it bluntly, for us artists trying to make a living with our art... It's challenging, there's too much competition, and, quite frankly, ad views and YouTube views aren't going to bring home enough bacon. Some of us dedicate days to our craft, some even take weeks, and for smaller 'large' projects (like ametuer films) it could take months or even years to just complete 30 minute scenes of our favorite shows/channels, or maybe a beautiful picture or sculpture. Sadly, we all cannot dedicate ourselves 100% to our projects, whether we have no money for new equipment or we have no money and thus have no time for our projects due to bills. It's always something...
I think Steemit can bring a major opportunity for people like me... have any of you started living off Steemit income?
Of course the end game isn't to make money, some may have those goals in mind, but there is no fun in making music on a hungry stomach.
