I've been on the road a lot for the past days, all the way from Lappeenranta to Lapua, and some in between. I haven't just been driving for the sheer joy of it, but to help out dad by going to fetch spare parts for this and that. In the countryside if you need something else than basic groceries or gas, the nearest place offering what ever you need can easily be a 100 kilometres away, which we still consider being close.
Luckily I like driving and you know, I have time for it too. Mom woke me up in the morning so I could drive to Ostrobothnia to get some spare parts before the factory closes for their summer break. Once I got back home and intended to eat and have my morning tea, I only got half way through the cup when dad called that I need to drive to the opposite direction to get something else, so off I went. I went to get some tires near the city I live in, and then back to the countryside, and tomorrow I'll head back to the city for a few days, again.
On a somewhat related note; I'm quite fond of photographing roads, routes and trails. There is something very aesthetically pleasing about a road, winding its way forwards, not to mention the metaphorical meaning of it.
