After coming home today I went to the supermarket with Bianca.
Since coming back from London we had not much time to do groceries and there was not much in the house.
Steemfat 3 is on both our minds.
We decided to make a new dish that Bianca found online.
It's a dish with spicy sausages and a lot of grilled vegetables in a tomato sauce.
Lucky for us the tomato sauce was a 2-1 with a package of fresh pasta. So we decided to go with that.
It was delicious and healthy!
Ingredients: spicy Italian sausage, red and green bell peppers, red onion, oregano, parsley, fresh pasta, and rocket.
First start cooking the sausage. Bianca told me the healthiest way to prepare a sausage is to cook it in water and then fry it in its own fat (after throwing the water away). I tried it and it works very well. Although I prefer (obviously) frying it in fat.
Prep the vegetables while the sausages are cooking. I decided to cut the red peppers into long strips.
After a while your sausage looks like this and you can take it out. Dump all the vegetables in straight after in the same pan.
On a high heat it takes maybe 3-4 minutes to cook the vegetables. They will look like this. Then put the sausage (after cutting it) back into the pan.
Fry the mixture for a while. Then turn the heat low and add the sauce.
Boil some water and cook the fresh pasta (takes 4 minutes).
Add some oregano to your sauce and introduce the pasta.
Stir it well and add the parley. You are done.
End Result! It was awesome although I feel like this picture (sadly) those not show it. The spicy sausage with that fresh pasta and grilled vegetables create a nice bite and was packed with flavor. I can see this meal returning to our kitchen very soon.
