Today I went to visit my mom in the afternoon to help her out with some Steemit related questions (and some other ones).
Bianca joined too.
When I arrived I'm looking at a half crashed Dtube video on her laptop.
'O, that doesn't matter, I didn't understand a word of your vlog this time anyway! I only gave it 51%.' (I talked bout Dmania and Zappl, she asked me what a meme was)
LOL! I nearly died.
Like I was being grated like a history exam. Fantastic!
But first, we had lunch. It was yummy!
I helped her out with a bunch of questions. She made a whole list. She also made a post about it here.
From her post:
So I learned to use busy.org, to buy (or sell) bitcoin and steem, to send my documents and photographs etc. to the cloud, and how the steem blockchain and steemit.com / busy.org were connected. He learned me what some tags mean (f.i. kr / cn / meme etc. I was laughing a little at myself when he told me 'meme' was for young people and explained why!!
It took me about 2,5 hours to get everything done. It was fun!
When I arrived home later Bianca and I went to to the gym.
After we went to the supermarket where I got a call from my mom.
I told her I would call her back at home. She did sound sort of urgent.
When I called her back she said, 'I made a post about your visit but it doesn't want to post!'
I swooped in with Teamviewer to help her out.
I realized pretty fast that it was posted but it was delayed. (some more users reported this today).
And that's when I saw it! This was a comment on her post.
That was odd. So I clicked the link to check it out.
I instantly knew this was bad. The user account of the poster must have been hacked.
Sadly, I can easily see how a new user would make a mistake here.

I muted the account for her.
I contemplated flagging the account (something I don't even remember doing) but I know this would damage the reputation of the account and I still have hope the user will get it back.
Be careful.
