Sort of a special day for me.
After the end of my (24/7) business contracts two weeks ago, I went to visit the last company still under my care today.
It was the day another company would take over the IT there.
I got up really early this morning because I didn't sleep well last night and decided that my time was better spend doing some research for my vlog.
The reason I couldn't sleep was that this company is sort of special for me.
I have been working there since 2011 and know a couple of people there on a very personal level.
(Walking away from what you know is not always easy).
They had asked me to find them another company because they didn't know where to begin.
So, I did.
I found a company full of young and eager IT specialists and with a good knowledge of Office 365.
Talking to the new guy (the boss as it turned out), I realized that he knew a lot about it (far more than me).
He was also completely up-to-date about all the latest know-how and all that stuff.
(Funny that while talking to him I realized that my IT knowledge in this department is already going because at times I kept searching my brain for the right IT terms.)
They were a perfect fit.
Good.
After everything was done the guy left and I stayed for a bit to talk to the people in the company.
There is one girl there that I can relate too more than most.
I think I started there when she started at the company and we saw a lot of changes.
When I told her about what I'm doing with my life now she could hardly believe it!
(me neither at times if I'm honest).
She wished me all the best and I gave her 3 kisses on the cheeks (the Dutch way of greeting or goodbye) and a hug.
lol, that was the first time in 7 years.
And that was also goodbye.
I walked out the building into the sun that was already blazing hot!
