What a night it was yesterday. Or should I say this morning. The after-dinner party was a full-on final "goodbyes" session for us all at the Steemfest accompanied by gallons of vino. A lot of it consumed by yours truly, lol. I don't really partake in alcoholic beverages per se, but I guess the occasion called for it. An incredible way to finish up with a fest that has proved to be legendary with everyone in attendance. Although the hangover this morning is killing me, I admit it was thoroughly earned.
I doubt much Steemian sleep took place for the last week or so down at the Qubus Hotel in Krakow. Parties lasted into the wee hours of the morning and groggy, red eyes stared at you as you passed through the lounge area near reception. But those are simply the after-effects of a great night out. There are too many people to mention that I met whilst out here so I'll collectively say you're the best and I love each and every single damn one of you! People new to the event were blown away by how infectious the community spirit was and where this pulling power ultimately led them. Chatting to several guys last night revealed that and so much more. This message needs to get out there of how "collaborative human empowerment" can easily be infused within a linear blockchain supporting a potential userbase of hundreds of thousands of like-minded individuals. Steem must, and will, succeed.
hinted at the next upcoming event, which gives myself and the wife something to already look forward to. So, it's getting safe to say this is turning out to be an annual thing. And in terms of closing thoughts regarding Steem after all that I've seen? It's the Dapps that will predominantly be the driving force for the future of our blockchain. A very defined and focused vision has been blueprinted by the development team down in Texas. Whereas they are responsible for the building of the infrastructure, we, the community, will take care of everything else. From funding new projects to the policing of the system itself, we do have a voice and part to play in the overall running of the eco-system. That is really cool and I'm onboard with the positive direction being taken. I'll get into more about that back in London.
*But, for now, we're packing our bags and getting ready to head on down to the airport. It's been a blast from start to finish, guys. Goodbye, Steemfest 3. Bring on Steemfest 4. :)
