Had an awesome time last night, hooking up with a friend that I haven't seen in a long time. With my wife being away, it's insane the amount of spare time you have on your hands! Now, this particular mate of mine used to be one of my long time "gaming partners". In my younger days, he was the revered source of many a video game and loads of memorable times. But we also had another, more simpler pastime. That of playing Top Trumps! A card game that is easy to learn but hard to put down! Check it out online if you haven't heard of it
Well, after dining out at a greasy yet tasty fast food joint and then back home chilling at mine, we soon realised switching on the old console, was a stretch too far. Neither one of us could get up once slouched comfortably into the sofa. A problem for a brief period of time, until we had an almost simultaneous brainwave. The draw next to me, containing three separate decks of this great card game. Well, what started out as a short distraction until one of digested enough food to move from the couch, turned into the rest of the night enjoying Top Trumps. No wires, no buttons, just pure old basic fun.
Hope my wife don't read this. She'll be running back home from her holidays, worried that without intervention, my neanderthalic regression might continue a step too far, lol!
