Machine Man II
I once was a butterfly
world sprung before my eyes
as a phantasmagoria of colors
and scents under the blue sky
I once used to land soft on feet
cushioned when I fell, sweet!
tasted the sour and defeat.
I was the nectar that summer secrete.
I was in love then and yet still I am
This one is different path, serene and calm.
Now the dark chew through colors
and sun is gone. There is none but a halm
in motion, fluttering in a slow cruise.
Falling like me to be shattered and bruised
Now the gravel bite through my shoes
This time I will not claim her. Blame her,
blame me or blame the incoherent blues.
