Hey Steemit friends! I hope all is going well for you this Beautiful Friday.
Today, I'm going to write about the beautiful city of Rancho Palos Verdes, located in Southern California. The last two posts were about Pasadena, California and the many cool places to see there. Palos Verdes is a stunning city located along the Pacific Ocean coastline. It is very mountainous and picturesque here. Buildings are very well spaced from one another, so the city itself has a rural feel to it. There is no shortage of trees and ocean views here.

For my fellow ocean and sea life lovers: Palos Verdes is a great place for whale watching.
TIP: Bring really good hiking shoes for the dirt and rocky trails, and binoculars for watching the whales.
The day we went I seen a whale squirting water up from the vast ocean abyss for the first time in my life. What a feeling it was to witness such a beautiful moment. The sun was setting and it couldn't of been more perfect. It was during the "golden hour" of sunset... if you're into photography, you know what I'm talking about. Unfortunately, my Samsung phone couldn't capture the whales... One needs a nice expensive camera to capture moments like that in fine detail. The groundskeepers who work here state that the best time to see the whales is in the month of March.
Cost: It is is free to go here, unless one signs up for a specific event. There's no fee for parking, and the museum fee is also free, but one can leave a donation. The museum is located on site and features the areas history, trails, native flowers, butterflies, animals, sea life and a gift shop.

Palos Verdes is a great place to relax... to breathe in the fresh salty oceanic winds and to find some peace and serenity. Namaste my friends.
...Until next time...
