Heart, GV, and a Smiley Face
Sunday afternoon my parents came over for Doctor Who and when they walked in my mom was super excited and drug us all outside. As she was driving in she saw this airplane draw a heart in the sky and we just caught sight of it through the trees as we walked out into the front yard. The plane was right over the house at this point and then proceeded to draw a G and then a V, I assume the initials of the person they were writing to.
The wind was blowing from north to south and the writings drifted directly over the farm. The pilot is damn good because they had to compensate for the drift of the design, write backwards, and they managed to do a really good job. After writing the GV the plane flew back north and drew the smiley face.
It was funny as the smiley drifted south the smile began to take on a toothed look. All I could think of was a hillbilly type of, "Huh huh yuck yuck".
Even though it wasn't directly meant for us it still made for a cool experience for our oldest as the youngest was napping. I have seen this pilot flying around overhead doing acrobatics quite often, but this is the first time they have done any sky writing. The plane flew off northwest towards Deer Park and the airport there, I assume as that is about the only airport in that direction.
