I don't know if you have already or not, but if you look at this on google earth, you can inspect the whole scene much better then my pics. If you're looking at the whole scene, you realize how massive this is. It's nearly the size of an NFL football field long and this is after crashing. You will also notice in my first 3 pics that that is not simply a gap in the mountain, but this thing actually made a hole where it crashed before sliding to its finial resting place. I don't know anything we make big enough to make a hole in a mountain on impact!
But you are right, it could be something new and that we've never seen before.
