My name on social media is My Five Minute Life because I am a mom and five minutes is about all I have to do anything in life. I am usually five minutes late to everything, as well. Mom life is busy, especially when you are a single mom. Sometimes, I think I need a minivan ... and ten more hours in my day.
Steemit has changed my five minutes of me time. I used to log online, check my Facebook, bounce around a few news networks,, get frustrated by the horrible comment sections, pop over to you tube, watch a few conspiracy theories, and then head off, usually more frustrated then I started. Not really the best use of that five minutes.
Lately, I have taken to writing, posting, commenting, watching, and reading on Steemit. This network is pretty much an all in one site. Many bloggers create videos on a site called DTube, as well. The commentary below posts is not clogged with trolls and people just looking to fight. In fact, folks vote on comments so that seems to keep everyone on their most polite behavior. I love that part. A little civility goes a long way.
I needed to find a website last night so I pulled up my Google history. I realized, in my three days on Steemit, I only went to one other website... Facebook (old habits die hard). Truth is, I only went there to share a Steemit post.
I also seem to be making some money at my posts. It is not much but to a writer, a penny is an achievement. I do not know what all this means... but I am thrilled.
I found this website in my pokings. ---> steem.supply. It says I am worth a little change already. I wish I understood all the numbers. Apparently, Steemit will get this blogger interested in Math again. I look forward to the adventure!
Wish I could write more this morning, but I am already five minutes late in leaving for work. You know the drill...
Blessings, Gator
