I have been reading a lot of articles in favor and against the Flat Earth Theory, personally I think that the Earth is a globe that moves around the sun and rotates on its axis, but since I can't prove this I am OK with people having other theories.
But I do have a question for people who believe in a Flat Earth, the above Flat Earth model is, I find, about a standard idea that is held about how the Earth is really shaped. It is kind of cool in that it answers a lot of the questions Flat Earth believers are made and gives them the opportunity to answer in a more or less believable manner.
Now if you look at the map you can see one problem with this, it is the cardinal points and I mean North, South, East and West. If North is in the middle of the Earth then I have to assume that South would have to be the complete circumference of the Earth, so that anywhere I look would inevitably lead me South. Is this possible or do Flat Earth guys have another theory to fix this? By the way this also means that East and West are also not where we thought they where.
The problem I see is that mariners have been using the cardinal points for guidance for thousands of years with impeccable results, so I think something is wrong with this Flat Earth model. Or could it be that I haven't been made aware of the answer to this obvious problem?
