A time and place where diversity is alive. This is the fusion festival. I would love to visit it one day. It grew to be a ledged. Organized by a non-profit organization it started quite small at 15.000 people. In 2016 70.000 visitors came to fusion and the fans are waiting for the next festival in 2018. Due to the massive growth of the event the organizers decided to take a break in 2017.
Free of boundaries and prejudice
In the middle of nowhere in the fields of northern Germany. Hundreds of volunteers bring to life the biggest holiday camp all over the northern hemisphere on a former Russian military airfield. Since 1999 the non-profit organization Kulturkosmos is bringing people together through art.
Not just music
Music of all kinds is part of the program just like on any great festival. But at fusion you also get theatre, performance and cinema, or even installations, interaction, and communication. Diversity of people, diverse in their intentions. Still, their strive for individual freedom unites them, everybody finding their own way of action.

Only non-profits allowed
On fusion you have food trucks and booths where you can by cloth or crafts but you can only sell on the fusion festival when you are a nonprofit.
Since the festival grew more and more popular the tickets cannot be bought directly. You can win the chance to buy a ticket via lottery but you can still participate even when you have no money. By volunteering.
I would love to visit this festival one day! Have you been there? Do you know anything like it?
