The natural, historical and spiritual center of the Zaporozhye region - the island of Khortytsya, from the earliest times attracted people, uniting them on one of the most abundant positive energy places on Earth.
Khortytsya is an unusually beautiful, picturesque island. On both sides wrapped in a wide and mighty Dnieper, girded with high rocks, sandy shores, covered with a green forest and decorated with bright flowers.
The island of Khortytsya is the largest island in Ukraine. Since ancient times it was a natural fortress and reliably protected the tribes who settled here from attacks. Traces of ancient settlers have survived to our time, these are mounds and stone sculptures representing the complex "Scythian mill". There is also a pagan sanctuary.
In the 16th century Zaporizhzhya Sich, the defensive camp of Ukrainian Cossacks, was established on the island, later becoming the center of the Cossack state. In 1965, the National Historical and Cultural Reserve was established on Khortitsa, which became a major museum complex. In 2011, many artifacts of historical value were found here. One of them is an ancient Russian sword of the Carolingian type, dated to the middle of the 10th century.
The island of Khortytsia has a rich history and traditions, it impresses with its picturesque rocks and granite
