Another pretty epic lunch hour(s) hunting for the shiney yesterday.
That's 7.8 ounces (223g) of Sterling silver right there. All found within 5 grabbags.
The big finds we're these 14k earrings and bracelet. The marks were so small on them, I see how they missed it. 8.25g 14k into the stack.
I can't believe I found this. It's a WW2 10k gold pin. I'll have to ask my discord group what the black cat logo is, but I think it's a tank command pin. I can't bare to melt it, so I'll be selling it in my eBay store and buying Mene with the profits.
I've started to keep an eye out for Gold Filled items because they are so cheap and easy to refine. I would never pay more than $0.50 a gram, but when I find it cheap, I grab it. I haven't processed it yet, but I'm expecting around 12 grams (which will be around .25g of pure 24k gold when refined). I'll wait until I have 500 grams to refine it.
