I just noticed I have not posted anything for 3 days, so I'm going to remedy that by putting something up now.
Here in Vancouver, it's PNE (Pacific National Exhibition) time, and last weekend my wife and I partook in some of the activities involved. My favorite thing to go to is the Marketplace, where once a year here for 15 out of 17 days in a row many vendors from local merchants to those from other major centers or from the other side of the country display and sell all kinds of household goods. My wife rolls her eyes at me lots, because I like shiny things. I (with her help) have to restrain myself many times, because I love gadgets and innovative new inventions.
After plying myself away from the Marketplace (with more money in my pocket from not having spent it there!) we usually go to the farm building and the animal petting exhibits. I love nature, and nature's creatures. We got to see and pet bunnies, baby chicks, we also got to see cows and pigs, and one of my favorites, the bees.
One of the highlights for us is the nightly free concert (well, "free" with the cost of admission that is), and the night we went the musical artist was Colin James, a local Vancouver talent from the 80s and 90s. Fortunately for us, since we don't like big crazy crowds, it was one of the lesser attended events.
We had a very fun time, and by the end of the night we were tired from all the activity. We do plan to go again before things wrap up on September 4. So, sending everyone warm hugs, and another entry about our Fair experience will be forthcoming.
