While I was working in Jasper, Alabama today, the bossman and I needed a 10 ft. USB cable..
So we went to Wal- Mart and they didn't have one.
Then we drove around looking for the(only local) office supply store.... We finally find it, and go inside...
As I was looking around the store, I came across this ...........
A 1895 Remington Standard No. 6 Typewriter..
It looked so cool up on the shelf, so I had to take a picture of it... And plus, I love antiques..
So here ya go... LOL...
George B. Webb was a mechanist for Remington, and had made several improvements on this typewriter vs. the previous models.
Improvements such as, spacing, adjustable paper guides, and paper carriage.
In 1892, these typewriters were manufactured under the name, Remington Standard Typewriter Company.
Not a lot of history on these typewriters, from what I could find... Sorry
Just look at the technology from back then to now!! From a typewriter, to a keyboard on your desktop computer or laptop..
Technology has come a long way... Very impressive!!!
I thought that this was cool, so I wanted to share this with you all..
Oh,,, and by the way, we did not find a 10 ft. USB cable... LOL;-)
We will have to pick one up, when we go back through Birmingham, AL.
I Hope That You All Enjoyed...
Thanks For Viewing!!!
