A wasp in the house is usually a pain in the ass but today, good lord, it has proven to be a worthy flatmate.
Some nasty garden mites moved in last fall and have been in the house all winter. They are especially fond of the succulent plants. I have a lot of plants so its hard to get rid of the mites.
Today I found one wasp feasting on the mites on a succulent. It was eating like glutton, resting a bit on one of the plump, juicy leaves, then fed some more.
I hope it stays the night so it can eat some more tomorrow.
Thanks buddy, we're cool for now.
Like the nettle plant, things that sting have more to offer then we give them credit for, at times, and in certain places.
