The Alton Towers Ride stops again? Is this some kind of joke.
Many of you who live in the UK know of or regularly visit Alton Towers with family or friends atleast once a year or more if needs be when looking to enjoy a beautiful time out in a lovely summer day.
We all want to look for a place to go to just take a break from work or just look for some air and enjoyment after working year in year out. I know I do, many if not all the time my family mention getting hold of some tickets so we can just go chill and relax.
However the problem is I do not feel comfortable, infact I am a very outgoing person full of energy ready to try absolutely just about anything. Put the most dangerous rides in front of me and I'm there wanting to get on it and just enjoy the ride.
The Smiler? Is that a ride? it kicks of your adrenaline and it lasts approximately 2 minutes to be precise. But my friends, this is an absolute hell zone. And a NO-GO territory. I would never ever in my life take my family or promote this ride to any of my friends in fact with the recent disasters and problems it keeps facing I feel the whole theme park needs to be put under intense investigation and possibly be closed down.
I honour and love life, and don't get me wrong I love a thrill too but no thrill is ever worth more than human life and that's what these rides are based on. One day worse than what has happened will happen and only then will the authorities and people speak out. The boycotts will begin and people like myself will say "I TOLD YOU SO"
In June 2015 the Smiler crashed which resulted in 16 people being injured, including two teenagers who subsequently had legs amputated, while another passenger's knees were shattered and much more. This year again the ride came to a halt and passengers were stuck up to 45 minutes luckily noone was injured and everyone escaped unharmed.
THE SMILER

But can we not see the consistency? Are we all waiting for people to die before we start boycotting and shouting through our lungs? There's a genuine threat here and regardless of how well these rides are monitored they cannot always ensure your safety and that's the honest truth. Noone can guarantee you the ride is safe because it's not possible.
When People Die It Will Be Too Late!
