2 months ago, my account in steemit was approved. That time, I was so excited to write my introduction blog.
I found myself scribbling my thoughts.
I posted it eventually and waited for people to notice it.
Guess what.
After 7 days of posting, my first blog earned 3 votes and $0.02 dollars.
The feeling is unexplainable.
I review my post and I can't see anything wrong about it.
I tried to read other blogs, I felt envied because their blogs are flooded with comments and upvotes.
Until, introduced me to
. I was able to interact with other Filipino bloggers. Special thanks to
who keeps on giving his feedbacks about my post.
Now, I'm also part of @steemitgreetersguild and in discord. I was able to meet people around the world who appreciates my craft.
During those times, I was able to learn few things.
My buddies whenever I craft something to post. :)
-You are never alone
Here in steemit, you have to be part of a community. They are just around waiting to be noticed. There are lots of helping hands willing to support, help, and care for your work.
-Somebody appreciates your work
What I love about steemit, people here are so constructive. They seldom give negative feedbacks. They comment for your own improvements and nothing else.
-Appropriate tags are important
One of my mistakes in my first blog is appropriate tagging. Tags should at least give our readers hint of what are writing, quoted from Sir . I'm not yet an expert about tags but at least I'm better now.
-Be creative
I'm investing some time to study markup styling guide. I guess creativeness in writing our blogs are never outdated. It should be attractive and interesting for our readers.
-Socialize: Upvote, Comment, & Resteem
Though I love to appreciate things in silence, it's a different thing in steemit. I learned to put up my comments to uplift fellow bloggers souls. I myself, feel appreciated whenever I see people commenting on my posts. I also upvote and try to resteem blogs of newbie like me
-Don't focus too much on the earnings
Lastly, if you are too concerned about earnings, I guess steemit is not for you. For me, this is not an income faucet platform, I view this as a place for writers to express themselves. Getting something out from your contents is just a bonus.
I almost quit steemit
But I'm still here, storming my brain to put up helpful and good contents
There are more reasons to stay rather than to quit, so guys PLEASE DON'T QUIT
Keep steeming guys! :)
