This week I've been reviewing horror movies every night.
I thought this week I'd give the horror movies a break and instead review something with a little more comedic flair to it.
I found an old comedy that I've never seen before.
The interesting cast of characters was enough to make me want to check it out.
So without further ado here's my review of Private School.

You won't believe what goes on and what comes off in........ Private School....... for girls.
That is a pretty titillating title.
The front cover shows three gentleman dressed up like ladies while another couple get close with each other.
I'm thinking before I start the movie that it's going to be somewhat like Animal House or maybe Revenge of the Nerds.
It's actually a lot more like Porky's which is surprising to me.
This movie stars two very popular actors.
Phoebe Cates was in quite a few 80s movies and in particular she is well known for being the hot chick in Fast Times at Ridgemont High.
Matthew Modine is the starring character in one of the best movies ever made.

So what are these two doing in this Animal House knock off movie that is actually a lot more like Porky's?

I couldn't tell you that but I can tell you this movie is actually pretty funny.
It's incredibly sexist mind you.
Have you ever seen one of those movies where a bunch of guys sneak into the girls sorority in order to steal their panties?
I bet you have.
Now imagine if they made the whole movie just one scene over and over of the guys sneaking into the girl's sorority to steal their panties and see them naked.
That is actually the entire plot of Private School.
We never learn anything about anybody's lives.
We never see anything interesting about any of the characters in the movie.
All we see is three guys sneaking into a sorority and then trying to view girls naked at every single opportunity............. and having a great deal of success I might ad.
If you can get past the sexism then this is a pretty good movie even though it holds a strong position as something that should be seen on late night cable channels.
If you're looking for a zany comedy about a bunch of kids at college doing crazy things together and you don't mind a little nudity than this just might be the movie for you.
