Getting big items at an auction can be scary to say the least. You can do you due diligence and thoroughly examine whatever it is you want to purchase. Yet it always seems that you miss something.
Are a few minor repairs worth it when you are getting the item at a discounted price? I guess it all depends on how discounted the price is.
After finding out the value of the trailer we were interested we figured we should be able to get it in our price range. There were a couple trailers that we were interesting in and we ended up scoring this one.
Granted it was the first trailer to hit the auction block that we were interested in but with a high bid of $1400 and no one else bidding I had to go for it
Then
$1,600
Things were at a stand still.
“Am I goin yo get this trailer for $1,600??”
This is goin to be awesome!!
I spoke too soon.
A couple people in the balcony area starting bidding out of nowhere!!
Within a matter of seconds the price went up to $2,200 with me being the highest bidder.
SOLD
I feel we made a great buy! This trailer’s value is around $6,000. Shoot even the awning rolls out nicely and has no tears in it.
This inside is super clean, no stains on any of the furniture, no broken hinges and so far after having it home for a day and messing around with it a little bit.
Works
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
The table and couch turn into 2 separate beds.
Up the stairs in the nose of the 5th wheel is the ‘bedroom’ equipped with a queen sized mattress.
I need to add a separate breaker in my electrical panel in my house so I can plug it in and run all the other equipment including the A/C. It has a toilet and shower, 3 burner stove, refrigerator/freezer and a microwave.
This isn’t one of those monster trailers with 3 slide outs and all that jazz. Just a nice compact 21 foot trailer that will be easy to part and haul around.
This trailer wasn’t purchased for just fun and games. I have a relative that is seriously stuck in a ‘hell hole’.
no car
No house/apartment
The kids have never had a stable home
This trailer is goin to be a tempory place for them to stay while they get on their feet. I don’t have room inside my house, so I figure this would be a great way for them to have their ‘own’ little space.
Getting them out and away from the ‘hell hole’ is top priority.
I really hope this helps them get back on their feet and headed in the right direction. I’ve been saying for years that these relatives need a way to escape their current way of life and start fresh.
I really hope this is he answer.
Steem on
