Name of Piece: An Attempt to Demonstrate Equality with Patterns and Colors
Description: I took these photos after my Geology class one day at my university's science hall. I edited them with color on my phone and pasted them into a power-point. The clash and imbalance of colors is meant to represent the people of the world. It is meant to represent the variety and diversity throughout the globe. The ideal the globe needs to strive for is that each person, no matter what culture/background/race/color/religion they have gets to have their turn, their voice and that is what equality is in my eyes. These pictures are meant to represent acceptance between different people, and letting the Other speak while showing their true colors. And this is what college has taught me, acceptance, and respect.
“Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen.”
– Winston Churchill
