Hello STEEMIAN...
Everyone gets angry occasionally. Anger is a normal emotion, but it is important to deal with anger in a positive way. There may be times when we become frustrated and angry with someone, maybe a partner, a family member, a co worker, children, and our reaction will come from how we are feeling. Many things can contribute to feeling angry, what is important is how we cope with and express our anger. If we do not manage our anger, it will affect our relationships, plus our health.
Normally before anger is released, our body will give warning signs and if we listen to our body we can do things to prevent an angry outburst. We will become frustrated and stressed, our heart will beat faster, our voice will become louder, we will be anxious, defensive, become over critical and argumentative. When feeling like this we need to take action before we create hurt and pain. The best thing is to stop the thinking, just breathe and count, maybe count to 100 and while counting concentrate on the breathing. This will relax the mind, because if we say something while angry, we will most likely regret it later. Once we are feeling calm, then we can express our frustration, we need to get our point across, but we do not want to hurt the person we are doing this to, so remain calm and think before speaking. If we cannot control the anger, and we anger easily and over very small things, maybe what someone said, or being cut off in traffic as an example, then we should learn anger management and maybe also seek professional help. People have died due to uncontrolled rage.
A moment of patience in a moment of anger can save a thousand moments of regret, because the consequences of anger are far worse than the cause of anger. Those few moments we are angry can cause terrible destruction in our work, relationship, or even destroy our life. But when we think about anger, nobody actually makes us angry, because we decide to use anger as a response, other people in the same situation will not react in the same way. Only love can overcome hate, so don't hold a grudge, learn to forgive and be more understanding. Learn to show more kindness to others, also being kind to yourself. Gain knowledge, do things and gain experiences, learn from past mistakes and become stronger and wiser, as well as more understanding and forgiving. These things are important and will help in learning how to be more loving, thus removing the anger and bitterness. Life can be full of joy and laughter, or it can be full of regret and negativity, the choice is ours. Life is short, so start each day with a grateful heart, show loving kindness, feel blessed, and smile, because life is beautiful :)
