The New Year 2018 is here, and as usual, people all over the world celebrate the outgoing year while welcoming the new with all pomp and pageantry. New Year resolutions will be put in place and goals set. If you want to make the most of the year 2018, then follow these tips and advices.
Anthony Robbins said:
Successful people ask better questions, and as a result, they get better answers.
You need to sit down and ask some questions: ask ‘why’ and ‘what’ to help you figure out what is important and what is not. This will give you the motivational and emotional energy to keep forging ahead when you come across obstacles when pursuing a 2018 goal.
Secondly, be prepared to make adjustments as you implement your goals and plans for 2018. You may end up learning something new that will supply raw data that you will need to bring your plans to fruition. So be willing to adjust your goals accordingly so that you don’t fail. Most of the times, plans do not remain the same and may need to be modified or scrapped altogether. Be persistent about your vision, but let your ideas be flexible.
You should give room to influence others without expecting anything in return. This is the perfect elixir that will light up your year as 2018 rolls by. Never allow a single day to roll by without touching or influencing the life of someone who will not able to repay you.
Everyone has bad habits that stop them from being the best they want to be. What is yours? Have you identified it or them?
Maybe yours is procrastination, or it could be spending unnecessarily on alcoholic beverages. Make daily to-do lists that must be met and accomplished at the end of the day with a little time for breathers in-between. Drastically cut down your excesses on drinks and channel that time you spend in a bar towards reading up a business book or attending night classes to update yourself.
Attaining goals or objectives is never easy; if it were, everyone would be successful. Therefore, you need to get rid of behaviors and activities from your life so that you don’t end the year 2018 the same way you finished 2017.
Do not concentrate your goals on just your career; spread them to include your friends, family, fitness, hobbies, etc. Don’t ever compare yourself to any other person, you are unique, and you are answerable to no one. The only person you are accountable to is your life coach with whom you can share your goals or plans and be committed to reporting at regular intervals to showcase your progress.
Now all the points listed above will be nothing if you don’t learn how to discipline yourself.
A lot of people lead undisciplined lives and end up not following hard after their life goals and plans they have put in place at the beginning of the year. Therefore, dream big, but make painstaking plans to achieve them.
