We all know that loving yourself and protecting your soul is extremely important for a happy life. But how do you love yourself?
How do you accept yourself for who you are?
Many people believe that loving yourself is selfish, but that’s not true at all. Self love is not being arrogant and believing you’re better that anyone else, self love means to listen to your body, mind and soul and become aware of what tou actually need in your life.
Self love occurs when you accept yourself for what you are, and that’s when you really start living your life. Here are a few suggestions that will make it easier for you to get to know, understand and love yourself.
Firstly, as I said before, you have to acknowledge your flaws, you negative and positive thoughts, your qualities and accept them as they are.
In this way, instead of being in a constant battle, trying to change yourself for the better, you’ll learn to love yourself for who you are. Also, yoou have to take control over you life.
You deserve a place in this world, you deserve to ask questions, you deserve to be right here, right now! You don’t need anybody’s permission to be a part of this world.
By loving yourself, you will understand that you’re not worse than anyone, and in that way you will teach others to love you!
Besides that, stop comparing yourself to others! Comparation is the enemy of happiness. You are who you are, you’re unique and special. We all have our roads in life, you just have to enjoy your adventure.
And keep in mind that everything takes time! You can’t have anything you want over night. Every road you choose has it’s own rhythm. Be pacient with yourself, with your soul and have faith that you will get wherever you want, if you want it bad enough and you work for it.
Lastly, don’t forget that perfection is an unachievable goal. Feeling perfect is a state of mind, not something that can be created for everyone to see.
Nobody is perfect, so fighting for perfection will always keep you running and will distract you attention from what really matters. Your job is to be yourself and give your best.
