I decided to cut back on my gardening this year as it was beginning quite heavy work, its just aswell I did with the health problems in going through my garden would have been an awful mess without my daily garden time. I do love to plant Sunflowers so didn't totally give up on them, I planted a few of my seeds that I harvested from last years seeds. I used Two pots planting 4 Sunflowers. Some of the seeds world while a couple died, I keep sowing the odd seed until all my seeds were growing.
I was late sowing my first seeds as I wanted the Sunflowers to flower a little later.I can watch my Sunflowers growth from where I am sitting.
I haven't had any blooms yet but can see a few heads growing, I'm hoping I haven't left it too late as the weather is starting to change. The temperature is dropping slowly sadly not for me as I'm still using a fan to cope with the hot flushes.
I usually plant the Sunflowers in my side garden this year with only doing a couple I placed then on the decked area beside the window that I sit close to. Once the plants Bloom I should be able to see the flowers from my Seat keeping a check on when my buzzy bee friends arrive, hoping it's not too late for them.
I am hoping to get a couple of flowers so I can harvest those seeds for next year, planting my very own year seeds that came from my own seed from the prior year. I am keeping my fingers crossed that by the time next Spring arrives my health problems are memories and not ongoing.
As you can see at the bottom of the last photo I have a beautiful Purple Rose growing. I haven't had as many Roses as I usually do so seeing this one making sure its in the photo was a nice surprise.
The Sunflowers are sitting in the spot that gets the most sun. I can watch what's happening and see the first flower bloom.
ANYWAY
I would just like to say R.I.P Queen Elizabeth. I'm not a royalist I stopped being interested when we sadly lost Princess Diana but I do have respect for an elderly lady, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. I myself wouldn't have made Charles King I would have gone straight to William as Charles is getting on a little and Princess Diana should be standing next to him. Just my thoughts.
