Hubby has a fish tank that has 3 Turtles, 3 large Oscars plus a few smaller fish. Hubby noticed the Turtles were jumping around the tank, looked like they were trying to get out plus the Oscars colour changed to a dark brown which tells us they are stressed. When hubby went to check the tank he noticed the heat coming from the tank, his heater was over heating making the water temperature rise literally cooking the fish, Thankfully he caught it when he did, he took the heater out added a bagful of ice to the tank then did a water change adding a lot of cooler water he managed to get the tank tempreture down saving the whole tank.
Hubby is always prepared with having spares in case of this happening. All the fish and Turtles survived.
We are still holding on to my oldest dog Geordie, he's nearly 18. We have seen a massive change with him that's happened quickly. We have had him since he was 3, always been well trained especially around the house. We have had to start using puppy pads around the house as he forgets. We have tried him in dog nappies but keeps pulling them off. He had to have all his teeth out last year as he had gum disease, I'm sure it all started around then. He forgets what he's doing, up and down through the night forgetting he's already had a drink or rummaging for food even though he is well fed. He's never begged for food whilst we are eating but now tries to be on our knee. I'm dreading losing him, he's been my best friend for so long always by my side. We have everything crossed he makes it past Christmas. As you can see in the photo he is toothless so his tongue permanently hangs out of his mouth but he still manages to eat well.
How is everyone getting prepared for Christmas, its going to be hard work here as hubby has his hip replacement on the 13th meaning I have to have all my shopping done for then as won't have him to help. I am going to have an online food shop delivered closer to Christmas with all the heavy items then go abs buy fresh food closer to the day. I'm not buying many presents this year apart from my granddaughters and her parents, me, hubby and my youngest daughter don't want anything so that saves me time and money. I'll make sure we have plenty of treats for the holiday season. We are having my granddaughter, my oldest daughter and her partner for Christmas day, hubby will hopefully starting to get back on his feet, they don't let you lay around after am operation, he will be on Crutches. They have said as soon as he lands how to use the stairs with crutches he can come home.
I'm having to make a list for Christmas as I haven't got long to get it all done. Hubby made me laugh he said that When he's laid up he will start his own blog on here After I stopped myself laughing I told him no way as he can't use a laptop and would need me to type out his work giving me more to do.
Anyway hope everyone is OK.
Thank you for visiting. ππ
