If we're lucky, we hear stories from our parents & grandparents about our family histories & Genealogy. How do we know for sure what really makes us, and is it important? Should we be given complete information on our DNA when we're born? Our ancestry DNA & all relevant information relating to our DNA, like coding & mutations to get a better understanding of ourselves & how to take care of our being? Is it important to you, would you like to know? It has been a long time coming, now, thanks to Steemit, I can finally afford to see if I have been lied to my whole life!!!
I'm about to find out.
I guess my curiosity starts with all the stories I have been told through my life, and I wonder what parts hold truth. Should i send my spit in the mail, is that really a good idea? I can't help it, I need to know. Do I carry the DNA of my ancestors? Here's what I've been told.
Māori
Although this DNA will show up as Polynesian, if there's any. I have been told specifics about my Marae, Turangawaewae in the North island of New Zealand, and details about my iwi & tribe. And a story about my Great Grandfather x3 being a Māori interpreter in parliament.
These are, apparently, relatives.
Welsh, Irish & Spanish
Are the other three stories I have been told.
Can't believe I just did that, something I have been wanting to do forever! Can't wait to share the results with you. have you ever had a DNA ethnicity test? What were the results, were they what you expected?
