So many people drag on each day, Doing the same routine. They don't stop.
Instead, they make themselves ill. And later they live with so much regret.
Even as someone who is incredibly busy. I still look for ways to relax and allow myself to recover. We aren't here on this planet, To work until we die.
Technology Makes Us Busier
It's funny, Now that we have all these conveniences we all the sudden have less and less time. We no longer have to make every meal from scratch. Or have to go out to hunt for our food. And yet our lives are so full of everyday stuff that we have even less time.
Don't Be A Workaholic
I'm so guilty of this one, But this is important!
Your brain gets tired; Your body gets tired. When you push and push, You sometimes get LESS done! I Know a lot of people who will pull multiple all-nighters get stuff done. I was guilty of this too. Until I realized something; the next day I would feel so crappy I wouldn't be able to do much when I first woke up. There usually was a couple of hour delay before I felt charged enough to start working. This added up every day Until I decided to go ahead and have a normal sleep schedule to give myself a “Break.” That's when I noticed something. When I woke up early and started working, Then went to bed earlier. I had better results. I got more done.
Consistency wins the race most of the time, Not random hard pushes.
Do It For Your Mental Health
A Lot of people are struggling with mental related illnesses these days. I'm not an expert. But a big portion of these issues could be that we are putting too much pressure on ourselves. Social medias paint these perfect pictures. Making it seem as though our life is inadequate. It's hard to feel good about our accomplishments When everyone else seems miles ahead.
Not only do we need to take breaks from our work, But also social media. We need to focus more on wholesome activities. So go for a run, Relax and read a book! Let yourself recover and don't overwork yourself. Coming up with good habits will do so much more for you then forcing yourself to work to death for a shorter period.
