In one of my boring hours, I went to our garden and lit a cigarette and noticed this one plant growing under a palm tree.
It looks so small and undernourished. This plant has been under the shade of the palm ever since it was planted. That means it's lived it's life not getting enough sunlight. And then it striked me.
I suddenly realized that true growth is when you learn to leave someone else's shadow. Step out and grab that sunlight. Expose yourself to possibilities and be prepared to tackle the storm. Create your own breathing space and cast your own shadow. Often times, a very small thing can cast a very large shadow.
