Hai all! Man, it's been a hot minute since prior posting here on the HIVE blockchain. Just posting to let everyone know that winter up in northern Canada hasn't killed me off just yet! Been a bit of a battle for sure but ultimately have to get back in the saddle here, shake off this terrible seasonal depression that's been incapacitating me and keep on keeping on..

Developed some less than optimal life habits mainly in the form of depression sleeping the days away over the past few months, lack of sunlight and what is likely a pretty decent amount of "feeling defeated" had my old habits replaced with over eating, over sleeping and over thinking.. Time to put an end to that.

They say it takes 2 - 3 weeks of performing a task ritually in order for the ADHD brain to establish a pattern and schedule.. So from here on out I'm not going to allow myself to sleep in till 4pm and make sure I get up and do stuff, including posting on here atleast once a day and working on code stuff in order to re-establish productivity / stave off this depresso bullshit.

No sense sugar coating it, way the fuck far behind on everything and with HIVE prices in the shitter and my witness rank far below the threshold that it pays for itself been bummed out some.. However that doesn't mean I get to give up and stop coding stuff.

Currently trying to get my main workstation running long enough to pull off my HIVE projects current codebases off it and after that I'll restart development on things. At the start of 2026 I'd sat down and opened up my HIVE projects only to realize that it would be impossible to pick up where I left off without re-reading all the code and establishing mentally how the software architecture had been set up...

Honestly embarrassing to admit I've written codebases that are so complex that revisiting them to finish the projects wasn't like riding a bicycle and more along the lines of having to reteach myself how to do rocket science. It is what it is. Wish me luck on getting my workstation to run long enough to copy my project codebases onto a USB stick to hopefully be able to work on it on this ancient Lenovo Thinkpad (education series) and get things running.

Currently behind on my server bills so hopefully HIVE prices increase here some because as it sits I can't afford to run the damn thing which in itself is another embarrassment.. $40 USD a month shouldn't be a big deal but given I'm only working IRL 1 or 2 nights a week money has been tight as hell! Atleast my IRL job DJing at one of the local bars is a reason to go out and be social while essentially getting paid to party.

But partying ain't gonna pay the bills and certainly ain't enough to live off of. So time to break the seasonal depression rut and re-establish productive daily habits and get my shit in order.
