Helllooooo Friends!
A few weeks ago, I wrote this lovely post. It was titled, Let’s send Kubby to Europe. In this post, I crafted a plan to fundraise my way to Europe with steem. Since then the price of SBD has crashed and burned dropped some. I decided to leave the goals the same because I am hoping, praying, and waiting for the prices to go back up. I will be paying in Us dollars or Euro, so the SBD amount/goal will stay the same.
Join me in prayer!
Friends, let's ensure the market rises by May like Last year. Cross your fingers, bend your knees, and join me in prayers. There is no way, I can't blog my way to Europe. You can check out my savings to see we have officially raised over $50 SBD. Which is below the weekly goal. As long as I can save $100 SBD a week we will hit the goal by May 1. If not, then we may need to extend the deadline. With $50 SBD saved, we have almost reached our hotel/hostel goal.
Thank you all for the support!
Many of you changed your auto votes in support of my fundraiser and several of you generously gave 100% upvotes. I thank you so very mucho! I did a mini experiment the first week to see if it would help save more money. I put half the payout in my savings and used the bid bots on the other half.
Results of using bid-bots: Did not show a greater gain then loss with the markets crashing and burning dropping some. I will probably pause on using the bid bots for a while. Maybe I will, I probably will not, but who knows? I might change my mind next month, what say you?
To use the bid bots or not to use the bid bots?
You should probably use the bit bots on this post. Just an idea. Thank you in advance if you do. Anyways, step one and two are right on track, I started to look ahead to step three. Step three is clothes. Now the fashion in Europe is different than here and I am very nervous. I have a few dress ideas, but fear being underdressed. Keep in mind, I will not be checking a bag. Everything will have to fit in a carry-on. Any suggestions are more than welcome to ensure I pack stylus clothes. In my last Europe post, some of you suggested I purchase a dress in Europe. While I would love to do that, I also think it would cost more than just using one of my own. I think I have the perfect dress for the wedding but need more suggestions for the rest of my trip. I might post pictures for you in my next update. What else should I pack clothes wise?
I am freaking out a bit about overpacking while also freaking out about underpacking. Help me not freak out!
To help distract me answer the following.
While in France, I am going to be traveling a bit. How do you recommend I do this? Is it cheaper to buy train tickets before or after? Which site do you recommend? Exchanging currencies, best to exchange all my currency before traveling? Sneakers, bring them or not? What about food? Did I budget enough for the trip? Do they have street food that is cheaper? Tell me about your traveling on budget secrets and successes.
Below are the steps in case you forgot!
