My father has always been my hero. Not because he was there for me every time I needed him growing up but because he taught me values that I now know will catapult me into the limelight one day. Growing up was tough but having a guy like him do his best to give me a much better life, softened the blow. My mother however didn’t stay around for long. She isn’t dead by the way. She had her reasons back then but to me she made a mistake I plan on not making with my children when the time comes.
My father even though a teacher who receives merge salary made sure he put me first before anything.Never did I not have 3 meals a day or have torn clothes to wear. He didn’t get me everything I wanted as a kid but he made damn sure I had the necessary items. I hope I can truly repay him one day with all the kindness and love he deserves. Until then I will keep on being the good son he is so proud of.
