Hope you had a great weekend?
It's a beautiful Monday morning and we will be starting our new week with all of us going about our daily business.
Some of us will be on the road stuck in traffic just like Lagos traffic, some will be lecturers and will need to be at their various institutions, some are students and will be headed for school, some are into business, some are full time mums and will have their children to take care of and put the family in order, some of us will be here steeming as we are full time steemit bloggers, some will be engaged in other online businesses.
Wherever it is that you are going to be this week or whatever it is that you are going to be doing this week,you will definitely meet people or will have to relate with people. And in relating with these people that we will meet, we should understand that we are all wired differently and will respond to situations differently and this is what makes us unique.
In your work-place, how you relate with that boss who Favours one employee more than the others will be different from how you relate with that boss who treats all his employees the same way.
As a full time mum how you relate with that child who seems to be self-absorbed will be different from how you relate with that child who does not see himself as the focus of any situation.
In traffic, how you respond to that driver who badges into your car in traffic and instead of saying sorry still abuses you is different from the way you will respond to that driver that even before you open your mouth to say a word has already apologized.
As a lecturer how you respond to a student who is quite a fast learner will be different from how you respond to a slow learner.
As a business man how you respond to that obnoxious customer will be different from how you respond to that calm customer.
As an employer, how you respond to that employee that meets deadlines,is quite on time and keeps his work place neat is different from an employee who does quite the opposite.
As a Steemian, how you respond to people who leave spam comments may be different from how you respond to people who leave heart felt comments on your comment section.
Amongst the people that we will meet or relate with his week, we will meet people who are highly emotionally intelligent or not,people who know how to show empathy and people who do not, people who are highly agreeable that they get along with everyone and do not care about if a thing is done their own way or people who are highly disagreeable and feel things should be done their own way.
My point is this,if you happen to be on the giving side of attitude,be nice in relating with people,watch what you say to people because you can never tell how they will take it or respond.
If you happen to be on the receiving side of people's attitude,if they treat you nicely, be glad! If they treat you otherwise, do not let their attitude define your happiness!
This week! Take your time to get to know people better and you will appreciate the fact that we are wired differently and you will get to understand how to treat or respond to people better!
