Whether you know that at the moment on the Moon the person is buried?
Eugeny Schoomaker, the person who has made a huge contribution to development of space and has helped to create discipline of planetary science on eternity is now on the Moon. He has played an important role in the missions of Apollo, training astronauts. Schoomaker dreamed to become an astronaut, but he was taken on medical indications and he has constructed career in science.
In the early sixties he has based the Research program in astrogeology within Geological service of the United States. This research has allowed him to help to train Apollo's astronauts.
Evgeny has died in 1997 at the age of 69 years in a car accident in Australia. Friends and Schoomaker's family knew that he wants to remain forever among stars. Schoomaker has devoted the life to science, and most of all in life wanted will go to space.
January 6, 1998 The lunar ship of NASA has gone to the South Pole of the Moon on a mission for ice search. Onboard the ship there was a ballot box with Eugeny Schoomaker's ashes.
On July 31, 1999, NASA has consciously destroyed the ship on the surface of the Moon. Ashes of the scientist have fallen to the moon together with the ship, having made him the only person buried on the Moon.
