I believe that every generation reaches a point when they look around and say, “What has happened to this world. It was so much better when we were young. The kids today have it so easy. The politicians today are so corrupt. The prices today are so high. It would be a better world if we went back to the way it was when we were (pick an age).”
But, was it really so different? Or are we just oblivious to the world’s problems when we are young? My mother worries for her great grandsons’ future. But her great grandson is happy with the way things are. He enjoys using an iPad and googling his homework and spending much of his time inside.
He will be unhappy later, but that will be because the world will have moved on and his generation will have their turn to look around and say, “What has happened to this world? It was so much better before when we were only (pick an age).”
And the cycle will continue.
