This past week the family wanted to go to the Demolition Derby. If you don't know what a Demolition Derby is...essentially vehicles smash into each other and the last one standing wins.
The strategy usually entails using the rear of the vehicle to slam into the others, because it helps to protect the engine from becoming disabled.
This year it rained and the competition space was completely muddy. The mud made the competition awesome!
There are different classes of vehicles for different rounds. The best class for this showing was definitely the van and truck class. There were only three entries, so the vehicles had tons of room to pick up speed and to smash into each other.
I didn't take the good camera to the derby because we were running behind. I wanted to get my wife's vehicle fixed before it started raining and didn't have time to clear space off an SD disk to record. I asked my wife to shoot a clip on her phone while we were there and don't you know the best part of the derby happened!
