Photos from the last spring when I visited village Cigoc which is situated in nature park Lonjsko polje (Croatia). Cigoc has been proclaimed as European village of storks who come back here every spring when the temperature rises. Storks are very large waterbirds that can range from 75cm to 150cm in height and can weight over 9kg. Their nests reach up to two meters in diameter and depth up to three meters. Lager species of storks can have impressive wingspan of 320cm. Amazing animals :)
