The smells of BBQ, flags waving in the wind demonstrates this day, July 4, 2017. Depending on who you encounter, some will wish you Happy 4th of July, while many others will say "Happy Independence Day". What's the significance of wishing someone independence when we are slaves to something in our lives that doesn't make us totally free?
Some of us are slaves to our job, some to our families. Sometimes we become slaves to ourselves due to depression or mental challenges.
Regardless of what the burden is that enslaves us, our Independence Day will not be one we can truly celebrate until we break the shackles and chains that bind us.
