Most of us have heard the saying, "Kids say the darndest things." Have you ever heard of a marriage proposal at three years old?
Laura Scheeler and Matt Grodsky met when they were in Preschool. Matt knew right then that Laura was the girl for him.
“One of my very first memories is of being 3 years old and standing up in front of my pre-school class, declaring that I would marry her someday.”
“Laura taught me how to ride the swings, draw rolling hills, and the ‘right way’ to properly eat string cheese. We have fond memories of playing hide-and-go-seek, chasing after each other on the playground, and mischievously staying up during nap time.”
“Eventually, we lost touch upon entering our Elementary School days and for the next seven years, our family’s annual Christmas cards was the only way we ever saw each other’s faces."
However, this wedding was bound to happen, and the stars aligned when Laura saw Matt’s name in her friend’s phone. Laura's giddy friend immediately offered to set up the Preschool Sweethearts - two weeks later Matt and Laura were dating.
After dating for several years (what took you so long fella?) Matt took Laura on a picnic date in front of the Preschool where they met many years before.
Matt got down on one knee and fulfilled the promise he made to Laura 20 years before - the two were married this past December.
