Marx the rabbit was one bad-ass little bunny. He was small but he was smart. He would climb and find his way onto tall furniture in search of people food he shouldn't have like Oreo cookies and Coca Cola. If he saw a cup of soda on the coffee table unattended, he would jump up on it to steal sips and run off and hide when you caught him. A rabbit buzzed on caffeine is a bad pet. I knew when he stole soda because he would run all over the house and destroy things.
One time I came home to find him on the kitchen table stealing crackers. He'd jumped up on a chair and then onto the table. He of course took a swan dive off the table when he was caught. It was a high jump too but he landed on all fours.
Below is one of my favorite pictures of my little buddy.
We were staying in a Motel 6 somewhere near Wyoming on a road trip. The crazy little rab. loved a good motel room. We always paid in cash in case he ate the walls. He hated his cage so we let him roam around the room free. He was nocturnal and most active at night. He'd wake us up jumping onto our bed and running around our heads. I caught this picture of him looking creepy over my sleeping husband. His eyes turned red with the flash of the camera making him look murderous.
