She stared at her father for 15 minutes with unsure eyes. Was this the man she knew or a person she had never met? He looked and sounded familiar but she could be sure it was him.
My Husband Got A Haircut Today
My husband hasn't cut his hair in a year. It was long and looked horrible. His hair is all gray now and to me he looked like a hippie or a homeless guy. He has a tendency to not care about his hair so it's always messy. After promising me for months he was going to cut it he finally got it all shaved off.
Our daughter has never seen him with short hair. We wondered how she would react when he came home looking different.

Our daughter is use to his long hair. When he walked in she was unsure about him. She just sat and stared at him like he was a stranger or had grown an extra head. Her wide eyes studied him. He picked her up to reassure her it was him but all she did was stare. After realizing it was daddy she did some exploring and touched his head and face. Hours later she still stops and sits and stares at him like she's confused. It's adorable and hilarious. I'm glad she didn't cry though. We were both afraid she might cry and not recognize him.
